Emma Langford

Emma Langford has woven a sound which Phil Coulter describes as “a breath of fresh air.”

A folk guitarist and singer-songwriter from Limerick in the West of Ireland, embued with the soul and style of Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy and Joan Baez, her distinctive vocal style demonstrates a blend of Irish lilt with folk and jazz. Delicate guitar work complements an intuitive sense of melody.

Emma Langford's insightful penmanship combined with a cheerful stage demeanour prove a winning combination, creating an engaging live presence. She has to date shared a stage with globally renowned artists such as Ron Sexsmith, Mary Black, Phil Coulter, Mundy, Eddi Reader, Mick Flannery, and Declan O’Rourke.

In 2016 Emma successfully crowd-funded and launched a debut EP, simply titled Emma Langford, which was toured at sold-out dates across the country.

Her debut album Quiet Giant, described by Today FM’s Ed Smith as “absolutely stunning,” was released in October 2017, along with a music video accompanying the album's single, Closed Book. The record received considerable airtime on RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ Radio1, Lyric FM, BBC Northern Ireland, and Newstalk. It remained in the independent Irish charts and on the RTÉ Radio 1 playlist for many weeks following its release, securing the young artist’s place as a staple of the national folk scene.

In October 2017, Emma completed a hugely successful month-long tour of Germany and Switzerland with the Irish Folk Festival, receiving rave reviews and breaking tour records for CD sales.

In 2017, she was also was voted "Best Solo Female Artist" by Pure M Magazine, and was listed as a Hot Press Magazine one-to-watch in the summer of 2016.

Eve Belle

Eve Belle

Eve Belle is a young singer, songwriter and chronicler of sorrows from deepest Donegal. Her songs and stories are imbued with an uncommon world-weariness seldom found in writers of such tender years.

In Eve Belle’s songs, someone is always leaving; or is about to be left. Her gaze is unblinking, she says: “I try to create emotional portraits of my own experiences through my lyrics. I think the best songs come from the most earnest emotions, so I try to put minimal filters between what I feel and what I say in the song.”

In 2016, One of Eve Belle’s early songs, the aptly-titled, achingly beautiful ‘Too Young To Feel This Old’ came to the attention of Irish independent label Rubyworks. Around the same time, her evocative cover of Coldplay’s ‘Violet Hill’ found favour with Chris Martin & Co., and was widely shared online.

On signing to Rubyworks, Eve worked with London-based producer Fred Cox, best known for his work with Billie Marten and Lion Babe, and Simon Aldred of Cherry Ghost and Birdy fame. The first fruits of their studio labours is her new single ‘Boy From The Blue’.

Eve says of the song: “‘Boy From The Blue’ was inspired by that sense of surreal giddiness that comes with being infatuated with someone new, when the lines between physical things and emotions become a bit blurred and there are symbols everywhere, that we like to read meanings into.”

Drawing on influences as diverse as Julien Baker, Cigarettes After Sex and Conor Oberst, Eve Belle has recently played live in Ireland with Frightened Rabbit and Rodrigo y Gabriela and enjoyed festival appearances at Electric Picnic, Indiependence and Sea Sessions.

Eve Belle has opened for Beth Orton her Irish tour, and was the special guest at Wyvern Lingo’s sold-out album launch show in Dublin.‘Boy From The Blue’ is available now on all good download and streaming services.

The Ocelots

Situated in Wexford, 20-year-old twins Brandon and Ashley together are The Ocelots. They have crafted their songwriting and musical experience together to produce a forceful blend of rich harmonies and bare, raw acoustic folk. Their music perfectly embodies the breezy effortlessness of early Bob Dylan, and Simon & Garfunkel.

Deeply embedded in the Irish music scene, The Ocelots have showcased their music in Irish festivals like Body & Soul, Spirit of Folk, Hard Working Class Heroes, and Electric Picnic, whilst also playing Ireland’s top venues such as Whelan's, Sweeney's, The Ruby Sessions, and Cyprus Avenue. The Ocelots maintain their largely independent music trail by frequenting different cities all across Europe. The two brothers platform their music through various live video channels where they perform in random pop up locations around cities and countrysides. They feature on popular youtube channels such as Sofar London, Berlin Sessions, Joe Sessions and rising filmmaker Christian Tierney’s channel.

The brothers released their first EP, Till We Get There in October, gaining instant attention from The Irish Times, which voted them "Top Artists of the Week," and Spotify, which included them in their “Stress Buster” playlist, alongside Cigarettes after Sex and Autonomy.

Bayonets

Bayonets is a solo project created by Kerry musician and songwriter Vinnie Flynn. His style is a mix of alternative rock, indie, blues, and folk.

Vinnie is also working with a music publishing company based in the U.S. that is currently pitching one of his tracks to three prime time TV shows.

His new set hints at a beloved dark thread with an interesting twist. Every track hums with a sense of pure originality and haunting intrigue. Vinnie has a string of gigs lined up for 2018, including some UK appearances.

Vinnie is currently busy in the studio recording his album. His debut single Slow Burning Fire was released in June 2017 with Hot Press Magazine and has recently made joe.ie's song of day. The track is also getting regular radio play on RTE's 2fm. The single is available across all major platforms. Vinnie also just released another single and video in March 2018, This Old Coast.

Junior Brother

Junior Brother is an experimental folk singer/ songwriter from Co. Kerry, Ireland, playing slightly unhinged, sometimes heady tunes.
His music has been described as unique, experimental and distinctly Irish, being heavily influenced by his upbringing in rural Ireland.
Currently based in Dublin, Junior Brother's played the annual Whelan's Ones to Watch festival the last two years, and has played support for acts such as the Hot House Flowers, R.S.A.G. and Mark Geary.
"Fuck Off I Love You" is the second EP Junior Brother has released, after his previous "Sleeping at the Bottom of the Sea" received airplay on shows such as Lyric FM's Blue of the Night, and among several acoustic instruments all played by himself, features his live set-up of acoustic guitar and tambourine. The EP's title represents the theme at the heart of the music; music tied to the earth, attempting to reach up beyond the clouds - songs filled with grounded humour, and songs filled with ambition to romanticize and reach beyond.
