Keep an eye out for Peggy's Angels of Hope at K-FEST 2023 2

The “Peggy’s Angels of Hope” project will feature ten enormous 8ft angel sculptures, transformed into stunning works of art by local community organisations and businesses. The project was the brainchild of Nollaig Fahy and are named after his mother Peggy Kelliher from Callinafercy who recently passed at the age of 99. Nollaig stated:

“My family is delighted this project is happening in memory of my late mother. Peggy lived a full life for 99 years, and loved telling stories, sharing the craic agus ceol with friends and family. A proud Kerry woman, her enthusiasm for her town, community and Kerry GAA never ever dimmed. Ten angels painted by local participants will show what hope looks like.”

The local organisations taking part in the project by painting their angels are:

  • St Marys of the Angels
  • Killorglin Community College
  • Intermediate School Killorglin
  • Scoil Mhuire Killorglin
  • St Joseph’s Home
  • Fexco
  • Astellas
  • Family Resource Centre
  • K-FEST
