Anna D: Anna D is a spoken word poet from North Dublin. She has won multiple slams and poetry competitions and is the current reigning champion of the All-Ireland Poetry Slam. Anna has an interest in the interplay between emotions and patterns of behaviour, family and collective trauma and the impact of oppressive systems on how we relate to each other and the world today. She is a mother, a teacher and a dramatherapist with a passion for inclusion, educational reform and social justice. Her poems are raw, honest and relatable portrayals of her experience of the human condition in all its grime and glory.
Mikey: Mikey Cullen is a poet, spoken word artist, actor and lyricist spanning multiple genres. His poetry has been published and featured both in print and online in various publications, videos of his spoken word performances have amassed well over a million views online altogether and he regularly performs both his poetry, spoken word and music at events and festivals around Ireland. His poetry has also been spoken and featured on Irish radio many times. He was commissioned to write a poem, titled ‘In US’, for the Guinness X Seanchoiche partnership in 2023. He began releasing music in early 2024 and will be releasing throughout the year, culminating in an eclectic EP of hip hop and spoken word put to techno, house, traditional and classical scores. Mikey’s debut single butterfly was made track of the week on RTE 2FM.
