Harry O’Connor is an award-winning Irish composer and violinist. As a composer, he has had several of his works performed publicly at concerts in Ireland by professional ensembles and soloists alike. As a violinist, Harry has been involved with various groups and performers across a spectrum of genres, including baroque, contemporary and popular music. Harry graduated from the MTU Cork School of Music with a First-Class Honours BMus degree in 2021. In October 2023, Harry will begin an MSt in Music (Composition) at the University of Oxford.
At K Fest 2023 Harry will perform his original works and other works from various genres with renowned pianist Santa Ignace.
Santa began piano studies at the age of five with her father being her first teacher. She was inspired by his mastery, and unique interpretations of a wide repertoire of jazz, including all the classics. Santa have been living in Ireland for the past fifteen years and she claims it is her home now.
She came here in 2007 to study a Master’s Degree at MTU Cork School o fMusic where she is also currently teaching piano performance.
Santa is also composing and her composition style reflects her classical music training and jazz influences, especially the style of Rachmaninov’s and Godowski’s music. She has presented these works with great success in competitions, recitals and performances at various venues in Latvia, Ireland, France, Italy, UK and The Netherlands.
Santa has performed with Harry several times before and the combination if their virtuosic talent is always inspiring and dazzling.
