James, lead singer, and Nino, lead guitar, can be traced back to their school days in Bantry. However, it wasn’t until years later when the duo came across each other in the city of Cork that they realised a shared adulation for certain rockabilly, folk and rock and roll musicians. Originally the duo focused on covers, before eventually putting pen to paper themselves and produce a range of tunes dipping into all previously mentioned genres. The pair concluded “the more we jammed, the more our influences crossed paths and pretty soon we converted this mutual interest into writing songs about slow and melodic as well as fast and uplifting”. Although some musicians have came and left the band, the soul members of James and Nino will continue to fly the fedora flag.
